Environmental Policy

A few important environmental effects can be seen in the processes within Neopost Technologies, namely waste production, energy consumption and discharges (e.g. to surface water and the atmosphere). To control these processes and their environmental impact, Neopost Technologies has defined an environmental policy. In addition to compliance with legislation and regulations, this is based on the policy of the Neopost Group. Neopost Technologies sets great store by an environmental policy and expects its suppliers to implement the same kind of environmental policy too.

As well as products, services and profit, we also want to create a better future, every day: a better future for our customers, employees, shareholders and all the communities that support us and – as far as we can, given our size – a better future for society. A healthy environment is one of the prime requirements for a better future.

Neopost provides long-term solutions and (by strengthening our environmental, health and safety policies) we undertake to maintain and improve the safety and health of the people and the quality of the environment for the general good of present and future generations.

Policy Aspects
In this context, Neopost Technologies sets itself the target of dealing in a socially responsible fashion with the environmental aspects of its business operations, thus guaranteeing the continuity of those business operations.

Neopost Technologies operates a careful and anticipatory policy with regard to the environment, with the express wish of being a leader in its sector.

In addition to demonstrable compliance with the legal requirements, Neopost Technologies aims to improve the environmental performance of existing and future business activities on a continuous basis.


Measures
Areas where Neopost Technologies is making a particular effort include:

  	•	recycling and attempting to reuse waste materials in the production stages
  	•	as of 1 July 2007, suppliers must have an ISO 14001 certificate
  	•	participating in the “packaging covenant”
